About the Role
We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer with a front-end focus and experience in full-stack development using Java or GO. Join our Nav Prime team to build, scale, and integrate new products and features for our main subscription product.
Responsibilities
-Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable front-end code
-Continuously ship and learn from experiments and new features
-Own customer experiences to help them excel in their businesses
-Get mentorship and support from the Front End team
-Participate in business and engineering discussions
-Engage in Nav’s agile/scrum process
-Seek help when needed to avoid rabbit holes
-Have weekly one-on-ones with your manager for feedback and support
About You
-5+ years of commercial experience in Software Engineering
-Experience building large front-end applications using React/Redux
-Proficiency with GraphQL
-Skills in HTML, CSS, CSS in JS tools (e.g., Styled Components), JavaScript/ES-latest, React, GraphQL, and SQL
-Experience in agile environments, iterative development, and test-driven development
-Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices and considerations
-Ability to write automated unit and integration tests
-Experience with code reviews and maintaining code quality
-Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle and agile methodologies (scrum and/or Kanban)
Bonus Skills
-Experience with Apollo
-Experience in full-stack or mobile development, especially with Flutter
-Experience working in distributed teams
-Open source contributions (links appreciated)
-Strong problem-solving skills
-Excellent communication skills and the ability to give and receive feedback effectively
