About the Role:

As a senior engineer at Fieldguide, you’ll have the chance to play a tech lead role on current teams or help build new ones, depending on your skills and interests. You’ll significantly influence our engineering processes and culture, joining at a pivotal moment as we scale.

This is an opportunity to be an early engineer at a company with product-market fit but ample room for growth. We are competing with legacy accounting and audit products that are outdated, yet still dominate the market.

What You’ll Do:

-Be a key technical contributor at a Series B-stage company as it scales.
-Lead the end-to-end development of features, making architectural decisions and trade-offs.
-Continuously improve our technology and processes.
-Optimize for iteration speed while maintaining high-quality standards and technical rigor.

Skills and Experience:

-Proficiency with modern web tech stacks, including several of the following: TypeScript, React, GraphQL, -NodeJS, Hasura, Postgres, and AWS.
-Experience architecting systems and data pipelines for handling document-heavy data sets, including document processing, search, and classification (ML experience is a plus).
-Familiarity with test and automation tools like Jest and Cypress.
-Knowledge of DevOps and continuous integration/delivery best practices.
-Understanding of information security best practices.
-Experience collaborating on product strategy and UX.
-Ability to shape a young tech stack, product, and engineering organization.
