Job Opportunity: Accountant

What You’ll Be Doing

BeatStars is looking for a meticulous and skilled Accountant to join our finance team. You will manage financial transactions, prepare financial reports, and maintain accurate accounting records, working closely with a trusted accounting firm handling day-to-day entries. This role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to financial integrity.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
• Prepare invoices for billing customers in NetSuite.
• Prepare journal entries related to cash transactions and payroll.
• Assist with tax and payroll filings.
• Maintain reports on income and expenses.
• Organize and maintain financial records electronically.
• Train new employees on the Accounting team.
• Perform other duties as required by management.
• Manage payroll processes for non-exempt and exempt employees.
• Oversee the expense request approval process.
• Track and pay partners and revenue-sharing arrangements.
• Ensure wallet payouts are funded with sufficient cash balance.

What You’ll Need

• B.A. or B.S. in accounting, business, finance, or related fields (Master’s degree preferred).
• CPA certification preferred.
• 3+ years of related experience, ideally in a software, SaaS, or subscription-based tech company. Music industry experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with financial accounting systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with NetSuite.
• Ability to create realistic project budgets and timelines.
• Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems (Gusto, Oyster, Deel is a plus).
• Understanding of payout payment systems.
• Experience with high-volume transactions and related accounting.
• Ability to handle a high volume of work with consistent quality.

Compensation

$70,000 – $80,000 USD. Salary/OTE range reflects the low, middle, and high end for this position and is subject to change. Starting pay is determined based on location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Salary/OTE is part of our total rewards package, which includes additional benefits and perks.
