Position Summary
As a Backend Engineer at Gamefam, you’ll join our analytics team, focusing on infrastructure leadership and enhancing data capabilities. You’ll drive improvements across processes and systems to support informed decision-making. This role spans the entire product and business, requiring a leader with extensive experience in insights and game development. You’ll report to the Senior Director of Product Management.
Responsibilities
-Maintain and execute strategy aligned with game development efforts and business goals.
-Advise on product decisions to gain competitive advantages and adapt to market dynamics.
-Connect product strategy with broader organizational goals.
-Support strategic planning and forecasting processes, monitoring performance against goals and KPIs.
-Oversee data-related functions, including analytics, playtesting, market research, and reporting.
-Ensure efficient resource allocation and workforce planning.
-Mentor and elevate performance for Insights team members, supporting career growth.
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 5+ years of relevant experience (advanced degree can substitute for up to 2 years).
-5+ years of analytics and research experience in the gaming industry.
-3+ years of direct game development experience.
-4+ years of experience with MySQL-based databases.
-Proficiency in SQL, Laravel, Vue.js, and MVC design pattern.
-Familiarity with Git & GitHub for code versioning.
-Strong teamwork, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
-Experience working in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
-Familiarity with AWS cloud platform, Docker, and Continuous Deployment tools.
-Experience leading complex projects involving product and design teams.
-Knowledge of Roblox Studios is a plus.

Salary Range
Base pay: $60,000 – $110,000 annually, with variations based on specific location.
