Charity: Water, a non-profit on a mission to bring clean water to everyone, is searching for a passionate Software Engineer to join their Growth Squad. You’ll collaborate with a cross-functional team to develop and maintain critical software that fuels their fundraising efforts and inspires donors.

You’ll be responsible for:

-Collaborating on projects related to charity: water’s website, online donation forms, marketing initiatives, and internal systems.
-Writing clean, well-tested, and maintainable code to ensure smooth system operation.
-Contributing to technical discussions and code reviews to maintain efficient and well-maintained systems.
-Working with other teams to support various user experiences and data needs.

We’re looking for someone with:

-At least 2 years of experience developing full-stack web applications.
-A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
-Proficiency with a modern MVC framework (Ruby on Rails preferred).
-Expertise in writing clean, modular, and extensible JavaScript (React experience a plus).
-A strong interest in modern frontend development.
-Knowledge of relational databases and caching strategies.
-An agile approach to software development.

Bonus points if you have:

-Experience with Builder, Contentful, and Optimizely.
-Experience with non-profits, online fundraising, and payment processing.
-Experience working with product and marketing teams.
-Experience with test-driven development.
