The Opportunity
Join Piper Companies as a Remote Principal Backend Engineer and play a key role in shaping the future of their platform! You’ll collaborate with product and design teams to design, develop, and implement a secure, high-performing backend architecture.
Responsibilities
- Design and build a scalable, cloud-based backend using AWS
- Partner with product and design teams to bring game-changing features to life
- Implement best practices in automation, CI/CD, testing, security, and more
- Ensure high availability and performance of critical backend services
You’re a Perfect Fit If You Have:
- 8+ years of software development experience
- Experience with distributed systems and high availability architectures
- Deep knowledge of AWS cloud technologies, especially AWS Lambda
- Proficiency in programming languages like Rust, Python, Go, or C#
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g. DynamoDB) and serverless AWS services
- Experience with industry best practices (testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines)
