The Role: Senior Backend Engineer

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building and testing the systems that power Coterie’s innovative insurance platform. You’ll work closely with a talented team to:

• Build and write tests for APIs and eventing systems
• Develop and document new backend services
• Refine and improve existing Coterie products
• Collaborate with product managers to create a development strategy
• Mentor junior engineers and help them grow

You’re a Perfect Fit If You Have:

• Experience building production-ready APIs (any language)
• Strong testing skills (unit tests, integration tests)
• Understanding of architectural design principles
• Experience mentoring junior engineers
• Proficiency with Git and GitHub

Bonus Points for:

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS)
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerized environments
• Experience writing technical documentation
