Senior Accountant – Abnormal Security
About The Role:
Join our dynamic Accounting team at Abnormal Security as a Senior Accountant. We are looking for a skilled professional to lead the enhancement and scalability of our collections process. This pivotal role involves establishing robust accounting standards and ensuring top-notch service delivery to our stakeholders. You will collaborate across various departments to drive operational efficiencies and elevate our collections procedures. Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Cash Transactions: Oversee the reconciliation of daily cash transactions.
- Collaboration: Work with the Accounts Payable and Order Management teams to reconcile and match cash transactions.
- ERP Systems: Utilize existing ERP systems to improve efficiencies in account reconciliations.
- Financial Dashboards: Assist in creating cash dashboards to provide prudent financial data to executives.
- General Ledger & Treasury: Investigate general ledger and treasury activities.
- Expertise: Serve as the go-to expert for all matters related to cash and accounts payable.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Foster collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to optimize processes and facilitate scalable operational growth.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Take on various projects as needed.
Must-Haves:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in general accounting.
- Accounting Proficiency: Experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, and understanding balance sheets and income statements.
- Account Reconciliations: Prior experience with account reconciliations.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ability to navigate ambiguity, and work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ownership & Innovation: Strong sense of ownership and accountability with a knack for implementing innovative solutions.
- ERP Systems Knowledge: Working knowledge of ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, and Airbase.

- Startup Experience: Experience working in a startup environment.

Base salary range: $69,800—$82,100 USD
