In this remote role, you’ll lead our accounting team through the month-end closing process, ensuring everything runs smoothly and accurately. You’ll also help improve our accounting systems and play a key role in maintaining compliance.

Here’s what you’ll do:

• Prepare and review journal entries for cash, investments, and intercompany transactions.
• Lead the close process for these areas, ensuring high-quality work.
• Analyze and reconcile accounts to maintain accuracy.
• Coach and mentor accounting staff members.
• Identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to streamline processes.
• Help design and implement new accounting policies and procedures.
• Support internal and external audits.

You’re a perfect fit if you have:

• 5+ years of accounting experience (public and private a plus).
• Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting standards.
• Experience with general ledger accounting (Sr. Accountant/Manager level).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Top-notch organization and time management skills.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.).
• A desire to learn and improve processes.
• Passion for Affirm’s mission and the Fintech industry.
