BerryDunn is seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join our Outsourced Accounting Services Practice Group. This role offers the opportunity to work on multiple client engagements, performing a variety of accounting tasks. You’ll prepare and compile financial statement engagements, handle full-scope general ledger processing, manage payables and receivables, conduct bank reconciliations, and more. This position provides hands-on training and guidance from senior team members, ensuring you gain valuable experience and knowledge.

Responsibilities

As a Staff Accountant, you will:

  • Perform attestation work, including compilation and preparation of financial statement engagements.
  • Conduct month-end and quarter-end closes for multiple clients, maintaining prepaids, accruals, depreciation, and other GAAP adjustments.
  • Assist in preparing GAAP work papers and trial balances.
    Process payables for multiple clients and generate payable reports/checks with approval.
  • Manage receivables and process deposits.
  • Record bank and credit card transactions using various accounting software.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash balances.
  • Understand and follow firm policies and procedures.
  • Establish effective work schedules.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients.
  • Collaborate with the outsourced accounting team and actively participate in meetings.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A BA/BS degree in Accounting.
  • Experience in full-cycle accounting.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in accounting software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation

  • Salary Range: $68,000 – $75,000 annually.
  • Factors Influencing Salary: Experience, education, seniority, merit, training, amount of travel, and other relevant considerations.
