About the Opportunity
In this role, you’ll collaborate with a cross-functional team to design user interfaces for government outreach initiatives targeting the Spanish-speaking/Hispanic community. You’ll also lead design projects, mentor junior designers, and ensure all designs meet the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
-Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and developers to understand user needs and design intuitive UIs.
-Lead design efforts on projects, mentor junior designers, and oversee design quality.
-Work with project managers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet client expectations.
-Build wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and mockups to communicate design ideas.
-Develop personas and journey maps to identify user needs.
-Create high-quality UI components, layouts, and interactions that meet user needs and support product goals.
-Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are implemented correctly.
-Create and maintain design libraries, UI components, and interaction standards.
-Stay up-to-date on design trends, tools, and techniques.
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree + 4+ years of relevant experience.
-US Citizenship (required for Public Trust clearance).
-Native or native-quality proficiency in Spanish.
-Proven UI design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills.
-Experience leading design projects, mentoring junior designers, and overseeing design quality.
-Experience with mobile-first design and design systems.
-Proficiency in design tools like Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite.
-Understanding of HTML/CSS and ability to collaborate with developers.
-Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
-Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
