Role Overview

We’re hiring an AI/ML and MLOps Field Engineer to help global companies leverage AI in their business using the latest open-source tools on public and private cloud infrastructure, Linux, and Kubernetes. Our team tackles real-world customer challenges, enabling enterprise adoption of Ubuntu, Kubeflow, MLFlow, Feast, DVC, and related technologies. We aim to create the world’s best open-source data platform, supporting traditional SQL databases and modern NoSQL data stores, as well as data-to-insight workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Architecture: Design and deploy cloud infrastructure solutions including Kubernetes, Kubeflow, OpenStack, and Spark, both on-premise and in public clouds (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Customer Engagement: Collect business requirements, deliver presentations, and demonstrate AI/ML capabilities to clients.
  • Hands-on Development: Work across the Linux stack, develop Kubernetes operators and Linux infrastructure-as-code using Python.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales teams to meet common targets, liaise with product teams to influence the roadmap, and foster a collaborative engineering culture.
  • Travel: Global travel up to 25% for internal and external events, and customer meetings.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, data research, or data engineering.
  • Experience with data-oriented tasks for cybersecurity or anti-fraud solutions.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, or Rust.
  • Practical knowledge of Linux, virtualization, containers, and networking.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing and supporting cybersecurity solutions with data science or ML.
  • Experience leading technical solutions and teams.
  • Familiarity with SIEM technologies like Splunk or Elasticsearch.
  • Intermediate-level Python programming skills.
  • Experience with cloud computing concepts and leaders like Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP.
