SEI is searching for a passionate and highly skilled Software Developer/Engineer to join our cutting-edge Research and Development team. You’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing advanced features and products for our industry-leading Workforce Edge and Sophia Learning platforms.
What You’ll Do:
-Design, develop, and maintain cutting-edge software solutions that revolutionize education.
-Collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, and fellow developers to bring innovative features to life.
-Leverage your machine learning and generative AI expertise to create a more engaging learning experience.
-Build robust and scalable backend services using NodeJS, Python, and the latest technologies.
-Develop and maintain user-friendly frontend applications with React.
-Become an expert in graph databases like Neo4J and relational databases like PostgreSQL.
-Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on industry giants like AWS and GCP.
-Champion high-quality code by conducting code reviews, writing unit tests, and ensuring optimal performance.
-Stay ahead of the curve by actively learning the latest trends and technologies in the industry.
-Champion continuous improvement by actively participating in agile development processes.

We’re looking for someone who:
-Has 6+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing web applications.
-Boasts 4+ years of experience with React JS, Node.js, and Typescript.
-Has 3+ years of experience working on cloud-based infrastructure (AWS/GCP).
-Understands and implements RESTful Web Services.
-Has a passion for education technology and a strong interest in machine learning/generative AI (a plus!).
Bonus points if you have:
-Experience with Test Driven Development, Git, Jira, and Cypress.
-Experience working with SaaS-based platforms.
-A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (a plus!).
-Cloud certifications in AWS/GCP architecture/developer/ML (a plus!).
