Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting our financial operations, contributing to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings while ensuring compliance with SOX controls. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Accounting and Financial Systems, this position offers a unique opportunity to engage in diverse accounting functions and collaborate closely with key business partners.

Responsibilities

Month-End, Quarter-End, and Year-End Closing: Assist with timely and accurate closings, including balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and documentation retention.
Financial Statement Preparation: Contribute to the preparation and analysis of financial statements and disclosures.

• Audit Support: Fulfill audit requests and inquiries from external auditors and third parties.
• Intercompany Coordination: Collaborate with FP&A and IT teams to allocate revenues and costs across subsidiaries.
• Contract Management: Work closely with Account Management and Legal teams to track and report revenues and expenses in accordance with US GAAP, focusing on grant programs and contract efficiencies.
• SOX Compliance: Manage and execute SOX controls related to revenue and costs, ensuring adherence to internal financial reporting controls.
• Special Projects: Lead and support ad hoc analyses, reporting tasks, and special projects as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

• Education and Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (preferably Oracle NetSuite), knowledge of GAAP, and familiarity with SOX and internal controls.
• Software Knowledge: Experience with Sitetracker/Salesforce and Coupa is advantageous.
• Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel: Proficient in Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Compensation and Benefits

For job positions in CA, CO, and NYC, the salary range for this position is estimated between $90,000 to $100,000 USD. EVgo offers a competitive base salary, discretionary target cash bonus, and restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval).
