About Us:
Join the FIS Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable team and be part of modernizing and expanding FIS’s core AP & AR enterprise applications. We lead in Order-to-Cash with ML and AI-driven automation and Accounts Payable optimization using Virtual Cards. As part of the Embedded Finance vertical, we’re enhancing features, accelerating time-to-value, and integrating AP & AR services into the broader FinTech platform.
Job Summary:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in advancing our enterprise applications for the future of financial technology. General Duties & Responsibilities:
-Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to understand feature and product visions, providing engineering feedback.
-Develop high-quality code and design artifacts for large-scale production systems.
-Architect secure, robust, scalable, and performant systems using event-driven architecture for transaction processing and customer data management.
-Design elegant API interfaces and domain models for seamless integrations.
-Estimate project timelines, ensuring projects stay on track and escalating issues as needed.
-Uphold high standards of technical excellence across the team.
-Mentor junior engineers and contribute to talent acquisition efforts.
Qualifications:
-4+ years of software development experience using Java and PostgreSQL.
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
-Experience leading projects from architectural design to production, maintaining high technical standards.
-Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
-Experience or interest in developing FinTech, payment, or banking systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
-7+ years of software engineering experience.
-Experience with high-scale or high-stakes production software.
-Familiarity with service mesh architectures on major Cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP).
-Experience optimizing database performance, particularly with PostgreSQL.
-Design and implementation of APIs for third-party developers.
-Integration of third-party vendor solutions into backend systems.
Good to Have:
-Familiarity with PostgreSQL extensions.
-Experience with Azure public cloud.
Benefits and Compensation:
FIS offers competitive compensation, including a salary range of $115,590.00 – $194,180.00 per year, based on skills, experience, and location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), time off, disability, life insurance, and more.
