Key Responsibilities:

• Understand Existing Systems: Gain a deep understanding of our current global payroll system.
• API Development: Design, develop, and maintain a new global payroll API using GraphQL and Ruby.
• Collaborate: Work closely with front-end developers, designers, and product managers.
• Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Optimize: Ensure applications are fast and scalable.
• Security: Implement robust security and data protection measures.
• Integration: Integrate with third-party services and APIs.
• Troubleshoot: Diagnose and resolve back-end issues.
• Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in web development and apply new techniques.

Ideal Experience:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Experience: 3+ years in back-end development.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Ruby/Ruby on Rails and GraphQL.
• API Skills: Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining complex GraphQL or REST APIs from scratch.
• Industry Knowledge: Preferably, experience in fintech and payroll.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Version Control: Experience with Git or similar version control systems.
