The Role

• Be a Backend Engineer building the core systems that power Gather’s unique blend of video chat, multiplayer game, and web app.
• You’ll design, implement, and optimize complex features to support thousands of concurrent users per space.
• Own the Gather platform and ensure it’s mature, scalable, and reliable to fuel future growth and innovation.

You’re a Great Fit If You Have:

• 5+ years of experience shipping high-scale systems and infrastructure (distributed systems a plus).
• Expertise in TypeScript and Node.js
• A passion for building elegant, well-designed software that solves complex problems.
• The ability to take ownership, work independently, and iterate quickly.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a leadership mindset.
