About the Opportunity
In this role, you’ll collaborate with designers and developers across iHerb to design and implement a comprehensive design system and component library. This will allow iHerb to develop new features and user interfaces more quickly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
-Lead the development and implementation of iHerb’s design system and component library.
-Work closely with designers to translate design mockups into high-quality, reusable code.
-Ensure code adheres to best practices for accessibility, performance, and maintainability.
-Conduct regular accessibility audits and identify areas for improvement.
-Educate team members on best practices for accessible design and development.
-Participate in the creation of development roadmaps, milestones, and task management.
-Collaborate effectively with designers, product managers, and other developers.
You’re a perfect fit if you have:
-9+ years of professional experience in front-end development.
-Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in design development and UI component creation.
-Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue.js, Angular, etc.).
-Experience with Figma Dev Mode and relevant features.
-Solid understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG).
-Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
-Passion for creating exceptional user experiences and a dedication to pushing the boundaries of design and technology.
Bonus points for:
-Experience developing design systems and component libraries.
-Experience with accessibility testing tools like Axe and WAVE.
-Experience with internationalization (i18n).
-Experience with performance optimization techniques.
