The Opportunity
Be a founding engineer and help us build an iconic consumer product that will change how people travel! You’ll join our core team and work directly with the co-founders to shape the future of Kindred.
Responsibilities
- Lead key tech decisions – backend design, data infrastructure, machine learning.
- Build the first version of our platform alongside co-founders and engineers.
- Help grow our engineering team and mentor future tech leaders.
- Leverage mentorship from our world-class tech advisors.
You’re a Perfect Fit If You Have:
- 5+ years of backend software engineering experience.
- Experience building scalable and complex backends and databases.
- Familiarity with DevOps (CI/CD, containerization).
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, CDN), Heroku, etc.
- Proven success as a tech lead on critical projects.
- High-growth startup experience a plus.
- Passion for building impactful consumer products.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Adaptability and comfort with uncertainty.
- Pragmatic approach to engineering – choose the right tools for the job.
- Positive and team-oriented attitude.
