The Opportunity
The Head of Design at Kong will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the company. You will lead a strategic shift towards product-led growth, focusing on improving the user experience across Kong’s entire product line. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and business leaders to ensure that design is at the heart of every decision.
Responsibilities
-Develop and implement a design vision that drives product adoption and revenue growth
-Lead the design team in creating high-quality, user-centric experiences for Kong’s platform
-Partner with product managers to define user journeys and measure the impact of design decisions
-Mentor and coach designers to help them grow their skills and expertise
-Stay up-to-date on the latest design trends and technologies
Qualifications
-Proven track record of leading design teams and driving product-led growth
-Experience with user-centered design methodologies and design thinking
-Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
-5+ years of management experience (preferred)
-In-depth understanding of API technologies and the software development lifecycle (a plus)
