How You’ll Make an Impact
As a Contracted Accountant, you will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer, internal stakeholders, and external accounting firms to ensure seamless financial operations. With our fast-paced growth, you’ll play a crucial role in defining and scaling our financial structure. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a passion for education to provide financial insights that guide strategic decisions and advance our mission.
What You’ll Do
General Accounting and Reconciliation: Maintain the general ledger and perform other assigned accounting duties.
- Prepare and perform account reconciliations.
- Recommend optimizations to our accounting procedures and identify inaccuracies.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements.
- Assist with revenue projections and forecast expenditures.
- Audit and Compliance:Support financial and tax audits.
- Suggest improvements to accounting processes and policies to enhance internal controls.
You May Be a Good Fit If You Have
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Expertise in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and Google Suite.
- 5+ years of general accounting experience in a corporate setting.
- Knowledge of tax laws and GAAP principles.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A growth mindset and openness to constructive feedback.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage schedules, and meet deadlines.
- High standards of integrity and transparency.
- Access to a computer/laptop (with a camera) and reliable high-speed internet.
