You’ll Be:
- A Senior Frontend Software Engineer (Video Engineering) working remotely
- The master of Philo’s video playback quality across all devices (phones, tablets, TVs, etc.)
- Leading the design, implementation, and monitoring of our next-generation video streaming frontend

- Open-source contribution: Help improve industry-standard video technologies
- Collaborative environment: Work with a talented team to push the boundaries of streaming
You’re a Perfect Fit If You Have:
- 8+ years of software development experience
- Experience with video players like Shaka Player, media3/Exoplayer, and AVPlayer
- Knowledge of streaming protocols (MPEG-DASH, HLS, etc.) and content packaging (DRM)
- Experience with building high-performing web, mobile (Android/iOS), or TV apps
- A passion for learning new technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, Kotlin, Swift)
- Strong data analysis skills to prioritize projects and measure impact
Bonus Points for:
- Contributing to open-source video streaming projects (Shaka Player, Bento, ffmpeg)
