Toast’s New Ventures division is searching for a passionate Front-End Engineer to join their growing team. You’ll be instrumental in developing a new product line that expands Toast’s platform into retail locations, working alongside designers, product managers, and other engineers to create user-friendly web applications.

What you’ll do:
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build web experiences.
-Participate in code reviews and quality assurance activities.
-Build web applications using TypeScript and React.
-Write unit and integration tests to ensure high-quality software.
-Participate in product estimation discussions.
-Provide user feedback through interviews and user research.
You’re a great fit if you have:
-2-5 years of experience building and shipping production software.
-Experience with React or similar front-end JavaScript frameworks.
-Strong understanding of web development principles and best practices.
-A passion for user experience and building products that people love.
-A growth mindset with a focus on continuous learning and improvement.
-Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
-Experience with testing methodologies and frameworks (a plus).
Bonus points for:
-Experience with building web applications in a retail or restaurant context.
-Familiarity with other front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, etc.).
Salary Range: $88,000 – $141,000 CAD.
