The Opportunity
Join our Backend Engineering team and collaborate on exciting projects! You’ll design, build, and improve features for our core products and backend systems. You’ll also help ensure our systems run smoothly and identify opportunities for improvement.
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend features and APIs.
- Improve the maintainability and stability of our codebase.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
- Proactively identify ways to improve system reliability and scalability.
- Participate in recruiting activities (optional).
- Mentor other engineers (optional).
You’re a Great Fit If You Have:
- 2-6 years of experience in backend development (Java or similar).
- Experience with distributed systems and functional programming.
- Knowledge of SQL and experience with online data stores (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, etc.).
- Passion for Agile, test-driven development, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- A BS or MS in computer science or a related field (preferred).
Bonus Points for:
- Experience with Spark pipelines and ORM technologies (Hibernate).
- Experience with dependency injection frameworks (Guice, Spring, Pico, Dagger).
