Join Our Team: Accountant
As a key member of our Accounting Team, the Accountant will assist the Regional Controller with Revenue Data Entry and Accounting Month Reporting. This role is crucial for ensuring our corporate accounting procedures are executed successfully across the Reimagined Parking Organization. You will build strong relationships with intercompany, finance, and accounting leaders to maintain accounting consistency, compliance, and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and reconcile multiple financial reports.
- Execute day-to-day accounting procedures by organizing and updating financial records and reconciling general ledger accounts, including cash.
- Process bank reconciliations.
- Collect accounting data from various parking systems daily to prepare monthly reports.
- Prepare financial statements, agree on balances, and post required journals for monthly close.
- Build relationships with intercompany leaders and internal financial reporting experts to support corporate accounting operations.
- Correspond with external auditors to prepare documentation for integrating various financial reports.
- Prepare best-in-class reporting information, visuals, and mechanisms to assist in internal and external reporting and decision-making.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) providing strategic counsel and advice to senior leadership on external and internal reporting practices.
- Ensure all Daily Parking Reports are entered promptly.
- Responsible for entering up to 30% of these reports.
- Process general journal entries for lot revenues and expenses.
- Complete miscellaneous accounts receivable tasks.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (strongly preferred).
- 2-3 years of accounting experience.
- Experience in external/internal reporting and consolidation is a must.
- AS400 Accounting Software experience (preferred).
- CPA certification (preferred).
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently, in a team, and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and high-speed data entry skills.
Proficient computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel.
Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate effectively with a team.
