Position Overview

ERG is seeking experienced Full Stack Developers to join our digital solutions team. As a Full Stack Developer at ERG, you will work on a variety of projects that support the implementation of federal policies and regulations designed to protect human health and the environment. This is a remote position.

Key Responsibilities

-Software Development: Develop enterprise-scale software applications within a multi-disciplinary development team.
-System Enhancements: Implement system enhancements based on requirements provided by subject matter experts.
-Modernization: Migrate legacy applications to modern technology stacks and cloud-based environments.
-Technology Assessment: Evaluate and recommend technology options for application components.
-Integration: Integrate applications with Agency shared services for functionalities such as authentication and data exchange.
-Agile Framework: Complete tasks within an agile development framework, support development sprints, and use tools like Jira and Confluence for progress tracking and documentation.
-Security and Standards: Adhere to security best practices, maintain high coding standards, and follow meticulous deployment procedures.
-Team Collaboration: Participate in agile/scrum team ceremonies and client status meetings.

Qualifications and Skills

-Education: BA/BS in Digital and Computational Studies, Computer Science, or related fields (e.g., mathematics, science, engineering).
-Experience: 4-6 years of full-stack development experience.
-Front-End Development: Experience with modern frameworks like React/Redux, Angular, or Vue.js.
-Back-End Development: Proficiency in Node.js and familiarity with common Node frameworks.
-Database Skills: Proficient in database development and programming, especially with PostgreSQL.
-ORM Frameworks: Experience with Object-Relational Mapping frameworks such as Hibernate, Entity Framework, and TypeORM.
-Cloud Architecture: Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Cloud.gov.
-API Development: Expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
-Agile Environment: Comfortable working in an Agile environment and using Lean/Agile delivery practices.
-CI/CD Tools: Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket Pipelines, etc.
-Technical Expertise: Strong technical skills, creativity, and a passion for complex solutions and staying at the forefront of technology, including AI.
-Continuous Learning: Demonstrates curiosity, embraces continuous learning, masters new skills, and mentors teammates.

Compensation and Benefits

-Salary Range: $90,000 – $120,000 annually.
-Benefits: ERG offers competitive salaries and excellent benefits, including health and dental insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, educational benefits, FSAs, a generous 401k plan, profit sharing, an EAP, 11-20 paid vacation days per year, 10 paid holidays per year, and 56+ hours of sick leave per year (pro-rated for part-time).
