About the Role

As a Senior Accountant, you will work closely with the Senior Accounting Manager to support Subsplash’s Finance team and contribute to our growth. This role involves various accounting functions, process innovation, and collaboration with internal departments. You will ensure compliance with GAAP, handle monthly reporting, and support third-party financial relationships. Your efforts will drive excellence in general ledger accounting, process improvements, internal controls, and system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Month-End Close: Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • General Ledger: Understand and investigate all transactions affecting general ledger accounts, resolving anomalies and variances.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Support business processes and create efficiencies for better financial insights.
  • Acquisition Integration: Manage accounting activities related to acquisitions, including revenue recognition and consolidation.
  • Financial Audits: Drive third-party financial audits and complete support requests.
  • Debt Covenant Reporting: Prepare and ensure completion of debt covenant reports.
  • Technical Accounting Research: Conduct research, present findings, and update financial records as necessary.
  • System Migrations: Lead system migrations and innovate the use of current systems.
  • GAAP Compliance: Assist with the adoption and documentation of new accounting standards.
  • Daily Operations Support: Assist with treasury management, procurement, and other daily accounting tasks.
  • Reporting Metrics: Create and maintain metrics in collaboration with the FP&A group.
  • Internal Controls: Document procedures and monitor internal controls.
  • Special Projects: Participate in various financial systems and statement preparation projects.

Your Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience (public accounting preferred)
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting
  • CPA license or CPA candidate preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience in SaaS, payment processing, and/or startups is a plus

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary Range: $85,000 – $110,000 per year, depending on experience
  • Location: Remote (limited to specific states: AL, AR, AZ, CO, FL, GA, ID, IA, KS, MO, MI, NC, NM, OK, OH, OR, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WY)
