Markel is searching for a mid-level Full Stack Developer to join their growing remote-first team. You’ll work on diverse projects from legacy codebase maintenance to building entirely new features, collaborating closely with other developers and stakeholders.

What you’ll do:
-Gather and clarify requirements from non-technical stakeholders.
-Design, develop, and implement software solutions across the entire stack (front-end, back-end, databases).
-Participate in code reviews with your teammates.
-Write unit and manual tests to ensure code quality.
-Communicate effectively with other teams to resolve dependencies.
-Work independently while also leveraging the team’s expertise when needed.
You’re a great fit if you have:
-3+ years of professional software development experience (excluding internships).
-Experience with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
-Experience with back-end development (.NET, Node.js, Java, or similar).
-Experience with relational databases (SQL) and cloud databases (CosmosDB).
-Experience with web servers (Apache or similar).
-Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
-Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for both technical and non-technical audiences.
-Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex problems.
Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000 per year, with a potential 20% bonus.
