About the Azure Communication Services Team
Azure Communication Services (ACS) is a Microsoft Cloud service that enables developers to integrate voice calling, video calling, chat, and SMS functionalities into their applications. The ACS team is a fast-growing group that is committed to innovation and building a best-in-class communication platform.
The Opportunity
The Azure Communication Services team is searching for a Principal Software Engineer to help design, develop, and implement new features for their cloud communication platform. In this role, you will play a key role in shaping the future of communication for Microsoft products and services.
Responsibilities
-Design, develop, and implement large-scale distributed software services
-Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define requirements
-Conduct code reviews and promote modern software engineering practices
-Improve the testability, scalability, and reliability of ACS services
-Focus on customer and partner needs through a data-driven approach
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
-6+ years of experience designing and developing backend services
-Proven ability to design and implement secure, reliable, and scalable software systems
-Experience with cloud platforms (Azure a plus)
-Strong communication and collaboration skills
