The Opportunity:
- Join our core product development teams as a Backend Engineer.
- Collaborate with engineers to design, build, and enhance features on our backend systems.
- Leverage automation to streamline development, testing, and monitoring processes.
- Contribute to the stability and maintainability of our codebase.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as part of our on-call rotation.
Are you a perfect fit?
- You have 2-6 years of experience developing backend components, services, or APIs in Java or a similar language.
- You understand distributed systems and functional programming concepts.
- You’re proficient in SQL and have experience with relational databases (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, etc.) or NoSQL databases.
- You’re passionate about agile development, test-driven development, and continuous integration.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and enjoy working on projects with measurable business impact.
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with Spark pipelines
- Knowledge of an ORM technology (Hibernate, Spring, etc.)
- Experience with a dependency injection framework (Guice, Spring, Pico, Dagger)
