UX Data Visualization Designer

Ford Pro, a new business unit focused on commercial customer productivity, is searching for a talented Data Visualization Designer to join their Design System team. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a cross-functional team to design and develop impactful data visualizations that enhance Ford Pro’s digital landscape.

Here’s what you’ll do:

-Design various data visualization assets, including infographics, charts, dashboards, and UI components to effectively communicate data insights.
-Partner with data analysts and stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into user-friendly reporting tools.
-Utilize data visualization tools (D3, Power BI, Apex, etc.) to create visually appealing and interactive dashboards that provide valuable business intelligence.
-Champion best practices for data visualization and ensure all content adheres to accessibility standards.
-Collaborate closely with UX designers, developers, and product managers throughout the design process.

You’re a perfect fit if you have:

-A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and proven experience in data visualization using relevant tools (D3, Power BI, Apex, etc.).
-Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data sets into clear and understandable narratives.
-Strong communication and storytelling abilities to effectively present data insights.

Bonus points for:

-A master’s degree in computer science, data analytics, user experience design, or a related field.
-Experience with user experience design principles (interaction design, service design, design research, etc.).
-A proven track record of delivering design projects from concept to execution.
-Experience working effectively in cross-functional teams and building strong relationships with colleagues.
-Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS) and design prototyping tools (Figma, Zeroheight).
-A passion for the automotive industry.
