You’ll Be A:

• Backend Engineering Rockstar: Design, build, and maintain highly scalable and reliable backend systems.
• Infrastructure Mastermind: Build and operate the tools and pipelines that keep Citizen running smoothly.
• Collaborative Problem-Solver: Work closely with product, design, and other engineers to deliver a seamless user experience.
• Quality Champion: Write clean, efficient code and advocate for best practices.

We’re Looking For:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of backend development experience (C++, Go, Java, Python, Scala, etc.).
• Experience designing and building performant APIs for distributed systems.
• Strong database knowledge and experience.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with video streaming services.
• Knowledge of machine learning and related systems.
