About the Role
As a Back-End Software Engineer with a focus on Data Engineering and API Development, you’ll be a key player in our quest to build a best-in-class data architecture and APIs. You’ll collaborate with various teams to leverage the power of cloud technologies and develop innovative solutions that fuel business growth.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Design, build, and maintain powerful APIs (RESTful & GraphQL) using
- Node.js, Express.js, and Python.
- Integrate APIs with data systems and applications, ensuring security and proper access controls.
- Build and automate data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and SQL Database.
- Design and implement data storage solutions for scalability.
- Develop efficient data processing techniques to ensure clean and reliable data.
- Leverage Azure services to build data solutions and implement CI/CD practices.
- Design data models to optimize data storage and performance.
- Implement data security measures and ensure data governance practices are followed.
- Monitor and fine-tune data platforms and APIs for peak performance.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest cloud data trends and propose innovative solutions.
- Document everything (data processes, flows, architecture, APIs) for clear communication.
- Provide operational support for the data platform and APIs (monitoring, troubleshooting).
Tech Stack:
- Languages: JavaScript, Python, SQL
- APIs: Node.js, Express.js, RESTful, GraphQL
- Tools: Azure Cloud Services, SQL Server, SSIS, Power BI, DevOps tools, Jira, Confluence
You’re a great fit if you have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, Data Science, or a similar field (or relevant experience).
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering, API development, and cloud technologies.
- Experience with data and analytics technologies (RDBMS, ETL, ELT, BI).
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Services, SQL Server, and SSIS.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, Node.js, and SQL.
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and data governance.
- Strong problem-solving skills to design efficient data solutions and APIs.
- Experience optimizing data systems and APIs for performance.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, version control, and DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
