About This Opportunity

We are seeking an eager and analytical Accountant to join our team. This role involves supporting accounting processes, including daily accounting activities, the month-end close process, and financial audits. You will also help automate and streamline processes in our reporting systems. This position is ideal for someone looking to start or expand their accounting career in a dynamic and growing team.

Location: 100% Remote, preferably in the Central or Eastern Time Zone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete the month-end close process accurately and timely, recording income, expenses, and changes in assets and liabilities in accordance with GAAP.
  • Assist with daily accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare account reconciliations and other accounting documents.
  • Develop periodic reports of financial services activities and balances, collaborating with the reporting team on design, testing, and distribution.
  • Liaison with third parties for various tasks.
  • Prepare and/or review entries for the general ledger.
  • Collaborate with accounting, operations, and IT on balancing and settlement procedures for new product programs.
  • Coordinate financial statement and regulatory audits.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 credit hours in university-level accounting courses.
  • 2-3 years of accounting experience.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
  • FinTech industry experience is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Access, Power BI, Power Query, and Excel).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with Oracle Financial Management accounting software (Versions R12) is highly desired.
  • Positive attitude and team player in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule as needed.
  • Reliable work history and professional demeanor.
