The Opportunity

This is your chance to be a Backend Software Developer and play a key role in building the next generation of IoT water savings solutions. You’ll help expand our backend functionality, including data processing algorithms, microservices architecture, and core product features.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop, test, and deploy high-quality backend code to support our business goals.
• Analyze, refine, and expand data processing algorithms for optimal product function.
• Collaborate with product stakeholders to understand and fulfill product needs.
• Contribute to our Agile Scrum process and provide valuable development insights.
• Enhance our CI/CD pipelines and implement rigorous testing procedures.
• Expand and maintain our infrastructure for secure, scalable services.
• Work with the QA team to ensure strict code quality standards.

You’re a Perfect Fit If You Have:

• 6+ years of experience building scalable software solutions with a focus on backend systems.
• 5+ years of experience with web frameworks and production platform engineering.
• Experience or knowledge of mobile development and backend integration.
• Understanding of data pipelines, filtering, algorithms, and time-series data.
• A strong commitment to quality and experience with testing methodologies.
• Experience across the software development lifecycle (coding, code reviews, version control, testing, operations).
• A proven track record of shipping software in an agile environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Tech Stack:

• Backend: Elixir, PostgreSQL, TimescaleDb, C++
• Other: Grafana, GraphQL, Flutter, AWS, IoT technologies (MQTT)

Bonus Points for:

• Experience with firmware development, IoT devices, electrical engineering, or basic electronics prototyping.
