The Role: Senior Software Engineer
We’re hiring Senior Software Engineers who are front-end focused with full-stack experience in either Java or GO. As part of the Nav Prime team, you will work on our main subscription product, building, scaling, and integrating new features. You’ll support Growth team initiatives, enhance the user experience, and improve performance and scalability.
Responsibilities:
-Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable code for the Front End team.
-Continuously ship and learn from experiments and new features.
-Take full ownership of customer experiences, helping them build, leverage, and protect their businesses.
-Receive support and mentorship from the Front End team.
-Engage in discussions on various business and engineering topics.
-Participate in Nav’s agile/scrum process.
-Ask for help to avoid rabbit holes.
-Have weekly one-on-one meetings with your manager to set expectations and receive support.
About You:
-5+ years of commercial experience in Software Engineering.
-Experience building large front-end applications using React/Redux.
-Proficiency in GraphQL.
-Web development skills in HTML, modern CSS, JavaScript/ES-latest, React, GraphQL, and SQL.
-Ability to develop, design, debug, and modify components in an agile environment.
-Experience with automated unit and integration testing.
-Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices.
-Experience in Agile teams and iterative development.
-Familiarity with test-driven development and test automation.
-Solid grasp of programming patterns and concepts.
-Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, specifically scrum and/or Kanban.
Bonus Qualifications:
-Experience with Apollo.
-Experience working in a location-distributed team.
-Full stack or mobile development experience, especially with Flutter.
-Relentless problem solver.
-Open source contributions (send us links).

Compensation Philosophy:
We believe in trust and transparency. Compensation shouldn’t be a distraction; employees should understand how pay and career advancement decisions are made. We provide equal pay for equal work and are committed to gender and ethnic equity. The base salary for this role is targeted between $125K – $170K per year, with final offers determined by your proficiencies.
