Be a Senior Backend Engineer: Revolutionize Business Insurance with Coterie (Remote-First)!

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our mission-driven team and build modern insurance solutions!
In this role, you’ll:
- Build and test APIs and event-driven systems using C#, Node.js, or Golang
- Collaborate with leadership on designing scalable and efficient architectures
- Develop, document, and improve our insurance products and services
- Partner with product managers to define development roadmaps
- Help interview and mentor junior engineers
Are you a perfect fit?
- You have experience building production-ready APIs
- You write unit tests, automated integration tests, and believe in well-tested code
- You understand architectural design principles
- You enjoy mentoring junior engineers
- You’re comfortable using Git and GitHub for collaboration
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS)
- Experience with microservices architecture and containers
- Experience writing documentation or self-documenting code
- Startup experience
