Abnormal Security is on a mission to extend its industry-leading security to the broader cloud landscape. In this role, you’ll be a Backend Engineer, playing a pivotal role in shaping our next-gen employee risk detection tool.
About You:
- You’re a passionate problem-solver with a strong backend and distributed systems skillset
- You’re driven to make a real impact and improve enterprise security
- You thrive in a fast-paced, scrappy startup environment
- You’re an excellent communicator, adept at both written and verbal exchanges
- You’re comfortable with some ambiguity and ready to help define the project roadmap
In this remote-first role, you’ll:
- Build and maintain high-performance systems processing millions of daily events
- Enhance detection frameworks for superior threat identification
- Collaborate across teams to ensure system uptime and performance
- Help create a positive work environment (and a memorable interview experience!)
Are you a perfect fit?
- You have experience building and operating distributed systems and services
- You have 3-5 years of software engineering experience
- You’re proficient in Python, Golang, AWS, Django, Spark
- You have experience with Postgres, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kafka, and Parquet (Golang experience a plus!)
