What You’ll Do

Circana is seeking an Accountant to join our Controllership team. In this role, you will support day-to-day accounting operations for domestic and international operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and adherence to global processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the monthly financial accounting close process.
  • Support internal and external financial reporting, including MD&A and related documents.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Review and ensure accuracy of international monthly results.
  • Conduct accounting research and document management conclusions.
  • Complete balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Support requests from external auditors.
  • Manage lease queries to ensure compliance with ASC 842.
  • Perform variance analyses and identify root causes for significant, unusual, or unexpected variances.
  • Participate in special projects and ad hoc analyses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited university.
  • CPA certification required.
  • 1-3 years of financial accounting experience, preferably in technology and service industries.
  • Preferred experience with a “Big Four” accounting firm.
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate across departments and management levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Location

This position is based in Chicago.

Compensation
The salary range for this role is $55,000 to $85,000. Compensation will be based on several factors including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and performance. This range may be adjusted in the future.
